What is Boo Paws Home?

Boo Paws Home helps families find ethical puppies with clear health terms, careful checks, adoption help, and guardian and FAQ info, all in 26 pages.

How do I adopt a puppy from Boo Paws Home?

Browse our available puppies and submit the Puppy Adoption Application. The same application covers every inquiry, puppy question, and adoption request. Our team will then guide you through the reservation, pickup, or delivery process. See our Adoption Process page for the full step-by-step journey.

How do I reserve a puppy?

Once you have found the right puppy and your application is approved, we help you complete the reservation process. This includes confirming availability, reviewing adoption details, and securing your puppy while we prepare for their transition home. Reservation secures your chosen puppy so no other family can adopt them.

Can I visit and pick up my puppy in person?

Yes. Local pickup is available by appointment so you can complete final paperwork and take your puppy home. All in-person visits are strictly by appointment, so please schedule ahead and we will give your family our full attention. We also offer safe, caring delivery to your doorstep for families who cannot visit in person.

Do you deliver puppies, and how does delivery work?

Yes. We offer safe, caring delivery to your doorstep for families who cannot visit in person. Every delivery is planned around your puppy's comfort and wellbeing, with careful attention to weather, travel time, and rest stops. Contact us to discuss delivery options and availability for your location.

What is the adoption fee, and what does it include?

The adoption fee varies by breed and is listed on each puppy's profile. Every adoption fee includes age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a thorough veterinary health exam, health records, microchipping, and our lifetime health guarantee. We never use the word price, because you are adopting a family member, not buying a product.

How long does the adoption process take?

Most families complete the process within a few days of submitting their application. After we receive your application, our team reviews it and reaches out to confirm details, answer questions, and schedule next steps. If a puppy is already available, the timeline can move quickly based on your readiness.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes. Every Boo Paws Home puppy comes with a lifetime health guarantee, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, and a thorough veterinary health exam. Full terms are provided in your adoption agreement. Contact us for the complete policy, and we are happy to walk you through every detail.

Are your puppies vaccinated and dewormed?

Yes. Every puppy receives age-appropriate vaccinations and routine deworming before joining their new family. We provide complete health records so your veterinarian can continue care seamlessly. You will receive a documented vaccination and deworming schedule with your puppy.

What health clearances do the parents have?

Our breeding dogs undergo health testing appropriate to their breed, including screenings for common genetic conditions. We are happy to share health clearance information for the parents of any puppy. Ask us, and we will provide the records so you can make an informed decision.

Do you provide health records for my veterinarian?

Absolutely. Every puppy goes home with a complete health record, including vaccinations given, deworming schedule, veterinary exam results, and any breed-specific health information. We recommend scheduling a wellness visit with your own veterinarian within the first week home.

What if my puppy has a health issue after adoption?

Your lifetime health guarantee covers you for the life of your companion. If a health concern arises, contact us right away. We will guide you through next steps, coordinate with your veterinarian, and honor the terms of your guarantee. You are never alone in this journey.

How are your puppies socialized?

Our puppies are raised in our home with daily handling, attention, and plenty of human interaction. We expose them to everyday sounds, gentle handling, children, and other pets so each puppy builds confidence. This positive early-life experience helps them grow into happy, well-adjusted companions.

At what age do puppies go to their new families?

Puppies typically join their new families between 8 and 10 weeks of age, once they are weaned, socialized, and cleared by our veterinarian. The exact timeline depends on each puppy's development and health. We never send a puppy home before they are ready.

What should I bring home for my new puppy?

We share a recommended checklist of essentials: age-appropriate food, a crate or bed, food and water bowls, safe toys, a collar and leash, potty training supplies, and puppy-safe cleaning products. Reach out and our team will guide you through preparing your home before your puppy arrives.

How do I puppy-proof my home?

Start by getting down to your puppy's eye level and removing anything harmful or chewable. Secure electrical cords, store chemicals and medications out of reach, block off stairs, and remove toxic plants. We cover this in detail in our blog post on puppy-proofing your home.

What breeds do you raise?

We raise a curated selection of purebred and designer breeds, including Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, and other family-friendly companions. Browse our Breed Directory for the full list, and our Available Puppies page for who is ready to meet you right now.

How do I choose the right puppy for my family?

Think about your lifestyle, living space, activity level, and experience with dogs. Our team is happy to help you match a puppy's temperament and energy to your family. Share your preferences on the adoption application, and we will guide you toward the right companion.

Are your puppies registered?

Yes. Purebred puppies are registered with the AKC, and Goldendoodles are registered with GANA (Goldendoodle Association of North America). Registration details are listed on each puppy's profile. We are happy to provide registration paperwork at the time of adoption.

Can I see the puppy's parents?

We are happy to share photos and information about the puppy's parents, including their health clearances and temperaments. For in-person visits, you may meet some of our dogs by appointment. Ask us about any specific puppy and we will share what we can.

What is the Guardian Program?

Our Guardian Program places our breeding dogs in loving, permanent family homes while they remain part of our breeding program. Guardian families provide a devoted home, and we cover all breeding-related expenses. Local families are invited to apply on the Guardian Program page.

Who qualifies to be a guardian family?

Guardian families live within a reasonable distance of Boo Paws Home, own their home or have landlord permission, have a fenced yard, and can provide a safe, loving environment. Experience with the breed is a plus but not required. Apply on the Guardian Program page and we will review your application.

What expenses does Boo Paws Home cover for guardian dogs?

We cover all breeding-related expenses, including health testing, veterinary care related to breeding, and whelping support. The guardian family covers routine care such as food, grooming, and everyday wellness. We detail everything in the guardian agreement before you join.

Are you a puppy mill?

No, never. Boo Paws Home is a family-raised breeder. Our dogs live in homes, not cages. We are committed to ethical breeding practices, and our No Puppy Mill Promise outlines our standards in full. We invite you to read it and ask us any question about how we raise our dogs.

Can I see where the puppies are raised?

Yes, by appointment. We are proud of how we raise our dogs and welcome serious adopting families to visit. Schedule a visit and we will show you our home environment, introduce you to our dogs, and answer your questions in person.

What accreditations does Boo Paws Home have?

We are AKC inspected, a GANA member, USDA licensed, and vet-inspected annually. We hold ourselves to the highest recognized standards for ethical breeding and family placement. Read our Vetting Process page for the full details on our credentials and standards.

Do you offer ongoing support after adoption?

Yes. We stand beside every family for the full life of their companion. Whether you have a training question, a health concern, or just want to share a photo, we are here. Our lifetime support is part of every adoption, not an add-on.
